Meet Dr. Elias Mikael Chatah DMD, PharmB, MS

For undergraduate school, Dr. Elias earned a pharmacy degree from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Following pharmacy school, Dr. Elias graduated from the University of Sydney, School of Medicine and Dental Medicine, Sydney, Australia. Following private practice, he enrolled in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Rochester (U. of R.), School of Medicine and Dentistry, New York , where his training involved treating complex and medically-compromised patients.  Following the completion of AEGD, he enrolled in a General Practice Residency (GPR) at U. of R. School of Medicine and Dentistry, New York,  during which he did month-long rotations in emergency medicine and anesthesia. During his GPR Dr. Elias also enrolled in a 2-year Master of Science in Business Administration, Medical Management degree at the University of Rochester, Simon Business School, New York. Dr. Elias is affiliated with the University of Connecticut Health Center. He was previously affiliated with the University of New England, Maine and NYU Langone Medical Center, New York. 

With training in both pharmacy and dental medicine, Dr. Elias has a unique skill set. He has written book chapters related to medication use. He is regularly invited to present lectures to professionals in dental medicine, most recently being invited by the Connecticut State Dental Association, New York State Dental Association, 9th District. Dr. Elias is a content expert with the American Dental Association.   

While Dr. Elias practices the full scope of general dentistry, he strongly believes in conservative practice which includes prevention and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Elias is certified in Invisalign.
